Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, dedicated Care Assistant for Greenholme House Care Home in Burley in Wharfedale. You’ll deliver high standards of personal care, supporting residents and the care team to ensure continuity of service.

You do not need prior experience as we provide a thorough induction and training programme to build confidence in your role while you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, written and verbal.
• Initiative and respect toward residents and staff.
• Efficient, capable of following instructions.
• Flexible to cover a range of duties on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care to maintain independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognising and escalating clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections).
• Acting courteously toward residents and visitors, protecting dignity of each resident.
• Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award‑winning team as a Care Assistant at Greenholme House Care Home in Burley in Wharfedale. If this sounds like the place for you, we’d love to hear from you!

About The Role

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
