Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm and dedicated Care Assistant for Braintree Mews Care Home in Braintree. You will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care team, ensuring residents receive consistent, compassionate support daily.

No prior experience required as we provide a thorough induction and training programme to build confidence in your role. DBS check will be completed and eligibility to work in the UK confirmed.

Qualifications

  • Flexible and reliable, able to handle short-notice changes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene to maintain independence, dignity and respect.
  • Identify clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate risks promptly.
  • Interact courteously with residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
  • Follow safe systems of work across all tasks.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
  • Other responsibilities will include:Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
