Job summary

Responsibilities

• Spending time with residents, getting to know their routines, likes and dislikes and what matters to them
• Supporting with personal care in a dignified, respectful and unhurried way
• Supporting people living with dementia, recognizing that behaviour expresses how someone is feeling
• Responding calmly in moments of distress or uncertainty
• Noticing small changes in mood, behaviour or health and recording on electronic care records
• Helping with meals and sitting alongside someone who needs support
• Supporting people to take part in activities they enjoy, inside the home and in the community
• Being open and honest, raising concerns and sharing information so people are supported safely and consistently
• Working closely with your team, sharing responsibility and supporting each other throughout the day

Job description

£12.75 per hour with Day, Night, Weekend and Bank Hours Available
