Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle in Banstead is seeking a caring Care Assistant to join our luxury residential and care home.

You will support residents with daily tasks, help with mobility, meals, and activities, and contribute to personalised Care Plans while upholding dignity.

Flexible hours include full-time day shifts; training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate, with good written and verbal communication.
• IT literacy desirable to support care plans and documentation.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with washing, dressing, eating and mobility.
• Help residents settle into their apartments and participate in activities.
• Support development of individual Care Plans and dignity in care.
• Engage residents with activities such as bingo, shopping, live music.

• Shift times: Day Shifts 08:00 - 20:00 and Night Shifts 20:00 - 08:00. Alternate weekends required.
• Full time Day shifts available
• Bank hours available for Nights
• Up to 30 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, depending on length of service

Job Introduction

You’ll be part of a caring, supportive team with exciting career development opportunities, and flexible full and part-time hours, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Care Assistant at our luxury care and nursing home in Banstead.

Your Role at Signature

We’ll need you to bring your compassion and uniqueness to this role. Your days as a Care Assistant will be varied, interesting and rewarding, from general care right through to specialist dementia care. You’ll assist residents with washing, dressing, eating, drinking and getting around. You’ll help them make their apartments feel like home. You’ll enjoy their favourite activities with them, like bingo, shopping and live music. You’ll develop strong relationships with the individuals you work with, and their families.

You’ll be respectful of residents’ choices, dignity and independence, always. You’ll also be integral to developing residents Care Plans, which includes being aware of any specialist support needs.
