Job summary

Candlelight Care is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our family-run team as Home Care Assistants in Shepton Mallet and surrounding areas. You will support vulnerable adults in their own homes with compassionate, person-centred care and practical help, across varied shifts including early and late slots and alternate weekends.

The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities, with comprehensive training and ongoing development to help you progress in the care sector.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to clients in their own homes (personal care, meal prep, domestic tasks).
• Support clients with medications, mobility aids and equipment where required.
• Monitor wellbeing and report significant changes to the Registered Manager to safeguard clients.

Job description

Candlelight Care are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our friendly, family-run team. In this role, you'll support vulnerable adults in the comfort of their own homes across Shepton Mallet, Somerset and the surrounding areas.

We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, with typical shifts from 7am-2pm and/or 4pm-10pm. You'll also be expected to work alternate weekends.

Driving is not always essential depending on your location.

Key Responsibilities

Every day is different in Health and Social Care. In this role you should expect to get to know your clients, their interests and individual needs. You will provide both emotional and practical support, such as assisting with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing) domestic household tasks and meal preparation.

You will also be supporting clients with medication, mobility aids and personal equipment where required, and have a responsibility to monitor overall wellbeing and report to the Registered Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client. We encourage our clients to remain as independent as possible while ensuring their wellbeing is always supported and safeguarded.
