Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Care and Support Assistant at our CQC Registered, Learning & Physical Disabilities Service, Tollemache Respite Service.

The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Delivering sensitive care and expert support to our customers
  • Encouraging resident integration and inclusion into the community
  • Promoting a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
  • Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
  • Sleep‑ins (as and when required)
  • General cleaning and cooking
  • Keeping accurate and up‑to‑date records

Skills and experiences:

  • Personalised approach to care, ideally with experience of working in a similar, care‑related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can‑do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards it
