Care and Support Assistant

£12.60 per hour

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Care and Support Assistant at our Physical Disability Service at Clover Court, Lowestoft.

We specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people across England to live as independently as possible.

The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:
  • Providing personalised care and support to promote independence
  • Supporting with washing, dressing, bathing, and hygiene
  • Administering medication
  • Assisting with shopping, cleaning, and laundry
  • Helping arrange and attend appointments, e.g., with GPs
  • Engaging with customers to prevent social isolation
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Promoting safety and undertaking risk assessments
  • Carrying out security checks during night shifts to ensure residents' safety
Skills and experiences:
  • Desirable: prior experience in personal care
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs
  • Desirable: NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
