The University of Oxford invites applications for a Research Assistant in Cardiovascular Nanomedicine to join the CVM and Centre for Human Genetics in Oxford. You will support Professors Channon and Tabish in investigating nitric oxide‑releasing nanomedicines for cardiovascular therapeutics, focusing on cell culture, functional assays, microscopy and ex‑vivo vascular studies.

The role requires a relevant biomedical sciences degree with laboratory experience; endothelial cell culture experience

Qualifikationen

• Degree in biomedical sciences, cell biology, pharmacology or physiology or related discipline.
• Laboratory research experience with biological samples or tissues.
• Good understanding of safety and traceability in the lab.
• Experience with endothelial cell culture is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Measure nitric oxide‑dependent signalling using assays (e.g., cGMP) and protein readouts.
• Perform qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting and RNA/protein extraction.
• Assist ex‑vivo vascular studies and work within a multidisciplinary team.
