Job summary

The post includes 1–2 dedicated training sessions and outpatient clinics weekly, a mix of on-call duties, and dedicated time for professional development.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Appropriate knowledge base, and ability to apply sound clinical judgement
• MRCP or equivalent
• Evidence of cardiology registrar experience
• ACLS

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality inpatient and outpatient cardiology care as part of a tertiary cardiology service, including participation in the on‑call rota covering CCU, ward, night, and weekend duties
• Develop clinical expertise across a broad range of cardiology subspecialties through dedicated training sessions, outpatient clinics, echocardiography, invasive cardiology exposure, and research opportunities
• Contribute to teaching, clinical audit, quality improvement, and the administrative responsibilities associated with patient care and the effective running of the department
