A leading healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a dynamic and motivated Cardiology PACS Support Manager. This role involves supporting IT systems in Cardiology to enhance patient care and requires knowledge of PACS systems and performance reporting. The post is fixed-term for 12 months and offers extensive training and benefits. The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills and the ability to work in a team and under pressure.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivatedCardiology PACS Support manager to join our busy directorate team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Cardiology Clinical IT Manager by generally assisting with the smooth running of all Cardiology IT systems and act as the systems support specialist assisting the clinical team directly.
The band 5 post will be based at the Royal Gwent Hospital covering Cardiology Services. You will be supported in your development by the Clinical IT Manager, Operational Service Manager and Directorate Manager.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
We are looking for an individual who will assist with the day-to-day system administration of the cardiology Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), Computerised cardiology Information System and all associated systems within cardiology to assist the clinical team deliver excellent patient care by using their knowledge of the cardiology departments clinical and administrational needs.
The post holder will assist the Cardiology Clinical IT Systems Manager on the purchase and evaluation of new systems, implement changes and help ensure the health board continues to have a functional cardiology imaging and reporting system that meets the needs of the clinical staff who use it. They will assist the Cardiology Clinical IT Manager, Directorate Manager, Operational Services Manager in planning and implementing operationalinitiatives in line with local and national strategies.
The Post holder will provide statistical data for audits (both local and national), assist in investigating clinical incidence which may involve dealing with sensitive or contentious issues. The post holder will be responsible for devising service performance reports and communicating them effectively to key stakeholders both internal and external to develop any necessary tools to improve processes and services across the directorate and division.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
