Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant Cardiologist with interest in autonomic dysfunction and heart failure, based at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. The post is substantive and NHS-wide in scope, with flexible working options and a commitment to professional development.

Applicants may have a broad range of experience. The role includes on-call duties, team-based care with other consultants, and opportunities for sessional work in imaging.

Qualifications

• Registered with GMC with a licence to practice.
• Specialist Training completed or equivalent and on the GMC Specialist Register, or CCT date within six months of interview.
• MRCP or equivalent.
• MD or PhD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomic dysfunction and syncope services within Cardiology.
• Join the team of heart failure consultants.
• Take part in on-call commitment for general cardiology (non-invasive).
• Contribute to ward cover rotas and regional cover when required.
• Engage in administrative work and Clinical Audit under NHS terms.
• Work to Trust Directorate policies and participate in continuing professional development.
