Job summary

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking a Main area Cardiographer Grade Band 3 for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with compressed hours (4 days/week) at the Denmark Hill site.

You will perform routine non-invasive cardiac diagnostics, mainly ECGs, and assist during exercise tests, while supporting the cardiac physiology team across clinics and wards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and Science.
• ICT Skills Qualification.
• Care certificate.
• SCST Examination or Certificate in Electrocardiography.
• Level 2/4 Healthcare Science certificate.
• Experience of non-invasive cardiology procedures e.g. ECG.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs in inpatient and outpatient settings for neonates to adults.
• Perform resting and ambulatory ECG and BP recordings including event recorders.
• Identify abnormal recordings and inform senior colleagues.
• Assist clinical staff during ETTs and CPET as required.
• Ensure proper stock, hygiene and infection control in the unit.
• Support in coordinating Echo, CPET and CRM lists and related admin tasks.
