Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Fit Out Manager for a high-profile gym project in Cardiff. You will lead the fit-out from start to finish, coordinating subcontractors and trades while maintaining programme and quality.

The role requires strong commercial fit-out experience, excellent communication skills, and a disciplined approach to health and safety. The contract runs for about 10–12 weeks with a start in October 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fit Out Manager or Site Manager on fast-paced interior fit-out projects.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades on shopfitting projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and programme management.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements in construction.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing fit-out works from commencement through to completion and handover.
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Managing site programme and coordinating multiple trades and activities.
• Liaising with Project Manager, client, consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitoring progress and addressing issues affecting programme or quality.
• Ensuring health & safety compliance and maintaining quality standards.
• Conducting regular site inspections and managing snagging.
• Attending site meetings and providing progress updates.
• Maintaining accurate site records and project documentation.
