Job summary

Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital is seeking a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Pacing and Cath Lab) to join the Cardiac Unit on a permanent basis. The role requires a BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent), RCCP/AHCS registration, and BHRS/IBHRE devices accreditation, with at least two years of specialist post-accreditation experience.

You will perform a broad range of procedures in the cardiac cath lab, monitor ECG and pressures, and lead device follow-up clinics in line with governance

Qualifications

• BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent) is required.
• Registration with RCCP/AHCS is required.
• BHRS/IBHRE Devices Accreditation is required.
• At least two years' highly specialist experience post devices accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic coronary angiography, PCI, right heart catheterisation, and PFO/ASD closures in the cath lab.
• Monitor ECG and pressure tracings, reporting abnormalities to the MDT.
• Support cardiac device implants and monitor ECG/intracardiac signals for lead placement.
• Lead device follow-up clinics per BHRS guidelines and local SOPs.
• Ensure stock for implantation procedures and maintain accurate records for audits.
