Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Colney is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Nurse or Cardiac Radiographer to progress into a blended role. The post includes training to undertake both Nursing and Radiographer duties for procedures such as Angiography and PCI.

Our expanding Cardiology department’s Cardiac Cath labs comprise of 5 Cath Labs, two recovery areas and an Elective Unit. Procedures completed in the Cath Lab include coronary diagnostic procedures, interventional angioplasty, Electrophysiology Studies and Pacemaker insertion under sedation and GA. In addition, we run a 24/7 heart attack service which is provided out of hours on an on-call basis.
We are part way through an ongoing refurbishment program to furnish us with a suite of Philips Azurion systems.
The role will involve building upon existing Cath Lab skills through an initial training block in order to be able to undertake Radiographer duties or Nursing duties depending on background in the Cath Labs for procedures such as Angiography and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.
We are looking for individuals with excellent clinical and technical skills with experience in Cath Labs to be able to take this next step in development.
This is an exciting time for the department with the expansion and development of services providing exciting opportunities for progression.
After initial training the role would be a split between Nursing and Radiographer duties.
