Job description
The Company

A certified B Corp and ICROA Accredited, Invert is an award‑winning carbon reduction and removal company committed to empowering organizations to take bold climate action. With a mission to drive global goals for decarbonization, we’re dedicated to making a measurable impact on our planet’s future through carbon project origination and financing, and sourcing high‑integrity carbon credits for businesses. We are a team of experienced start‑up scalers that have taken ideas from a whiteboard to the New York Stock Exchange, all while maintaining a focus on a rewarding, award‑winning team culture. At this early stage of Invert’s growth, we’re looking for talented people who are passionate about making a difference through their work.

We invest in projects that result in carbon credits being created, such as planting a forest or building a machine that sucks CO2 from the air. By selling these credits on to individuals or businesses, we are able to generate revenue that lets us make more investments in projects that reduce or remove CO2, and we continue the cycle!

Place of Work

We work virtually with a preference for candidates based in or near Vancouver, Ottawa or Toronto, Canada. Our team meetings are held within EST working hours.

Our Fit

We’re strong believers that diversity, equity and inclusion are a key strength and integral to our future success. We want colleagues that can think differently, bring a range of experiences, are creative within their role, and know how to drive towards a team goal. We value both experience and expertise but emphasize capitalizing on the future potential of remarkable people. We’re looking for colleagues who want to take action on climate change and drive our society towards net zero emissions by 2050. We believe in working hard and in being flexible in how we get things done. We believe that working with good and kind people is as important as working with smart people. Our compensation model embodies rewards for performance and we believe everyone in the company should share in the upside of our success. In order to ensure this, we offer equity participation in addition to salary.

The Opportunity

This is a high‑potential role for a data‑driven, commercially‑minded analyst to join the engine room of our company: the Growth team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Growth, you will be the analytical and operational backbone of our sales, partnership, and capital‑raising functions. You are a who is as comfortable building a complex project finance model as you are designing a compelling sales deck or managing our investment pipeline.

This role is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to every aspect of a scaling climate‑tech company and be mentored by senior commercial leaders.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Analysis & Deal Support
  • Build financial models for carbon offset projects, analyzing metrics like IRR, NPV, and payback periods to support investment decisions.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential project development partners and investment opportunities.
  • Perform market research and pricing analysis on the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) to identify trends and inform sales strategy.
  • Prepare investment memorandums and financial summaries for potential investors.

  • Serve as a content SME for the marketing team on the development of collateral in support of the Head of Growth, including project one‑pagers, case studies, and white papers.
  • Support the proposal and RFP (Request for Proposal) response process for major corporate clients.
  • Review all client and investor‑facing materials for polish, accuracy, and alignment with Invert’s brand.
3. Growth Operations Support
  • Manage and maintain the Growth Team’s CRM (e.g., Monday.com) to ensure accurate pipeline tracking for sales and investor relations.
  • Prepare regular pipeline and performance reports for the Head of Growth and CEO.

  • Support the Head of Growth with any and all relevant tasks required to hit revenue and growth targets.
