Job summary

Arnold Clark in Greenock is seeking a motivated Valeter for our East Hamilton Street Used Car branch. You will keep vehicles in sparkling condition and work as part of a busy team in a physical role.

The role offers up to 32,000 on-target earnings, 33 days' holiday, private healthcare, a pension scheme, Simplyhealth GP access, and opportunities for training and progression. Standard hours are 8am–5.30pm Monday–Thursday, 8am–4.30pm Friday, with alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Essential Skills: Full UK driving licence, basic computer skills, high attention to detail, teamwork.
• Ability to multitask and willingness to participate in training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Externally clean vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer.
• Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors.
• Polish/buff bodywork to enhance appearance.
• Follow health and safety procedures when handling chemicals.
• Maintain and secure equipment, report defects per PPE guidance.
• Work to set timeframes and targets, manage schedule via online diary.
• Complete daily records of work performed.
• Support the branch with other duties as required.
