Job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Car Mechanic / Technician to join our taxi company’s in-house fleet maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability and performance of our vehicles through thorough inspections, diagnostic assessments, repairs and routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out visual inspections and use diagnostic test equipment to find engine and mechanical faults across the taxi fleet.
  • Remove, repair and replace defective parts as well as prepare and fit new parts as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance including servicing of oil and air filters, brakes and other vehicle parts and systems.
  • Repair and service air conditioning, heating and engine-cooling systems to maintain a comfortable and safe vehicles.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience working as a car mechanic or technician, preferably with fleet vehicles.
  • Strong ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Clear understanding of routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and workshop equipment. Ability to handle use of hand and power tools.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks to meet scheduled maintenance and repair deadlines.
