A leading healthcare organization in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Capital Projects Manager to oversee all stages of capital schemes. You will provide expert construction advice and ensure projects meet health and safety standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in project management within the healthcare sector, a relevant degree, and strong communication skills. Competitive salary of £47,810 to £54,710 offered.

Take responsibility and be accountable for all stages of the development of a range of capital schemes, from initial briefing, through design, tender and contract construction, commissioning and hand-over including post project evaluation in-line with the Trust standing instructions and Estates department policies and procedures.
Commissions and leads on the project management of minor and major capital projects.
To provide effective expert and professional construction advice to the Estates department and wider organisation in order to ensure the reliability and efficiency of building structure, fabric, finishes equipment and services.
To write specialist technical specifications for building / construction / engineering with external / internal technical assistance where required.
To have specialist knowledge of cost management and Building surveying projects, in preparation for tender. Working knowledge of Computer aided design packages (CAD).

Assist and advise the Senior Team in delivering the Trusts Capital projects program in-year.
Ensure efficient and effective maintenance and replacement of building structure, fabric, finishes, equipment and services.
Consider condition along with planned preventative maintenance systems when designing for implementation any new developments or projects.
Develop projects in line with DOH Guidance, Codes of Practice, British Standards, HBN's, Guidance Notes (Health & Safety, etc.) and other similarly accepted standards.
Ensuring the safety of buildings, plant, equipment and services for which he/she is responsible and safe methods of working as required by the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH Regulation, Building and Construction Regulations and the Trusts Safety Policy.
Maintaining the records of equipment and building services for which he/she is responsible in accordance with statutory requirements. This includes drawings, specifications, operation and maintenance files, test and commissioning certificates, letters, memos, email, calculations etc.
Ensure directly managed staff / contractors / suppliers comply with Trust policies, procedures and work instructions.
