Capital Accountant

  • Hourly Rate: £14.33
  • Location: City Road, London
  • Job Type: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days from home)

Our client is looking for a Capital Accountant to join their Finance department. This role offers a hybrid working model and is ideal for someone with a strong background in capital accounting and a keen eye for detail.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Analyse complex financial information within tight deadlines, including project plans and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and internal financial controls related to capital and taxation.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to manage both management and statutory aspects of capital accounting.
  • Communicate policy changes or practice adjustments within the organisation.
  • Independently manage and prioritise workload to meet departmental objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified member of a CCAB body or actively studying towards such a qualification.
  • Actively undertaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Extensive experience with IFRS accounting standards and internal financial controls.
  • Proficient in integrated financial IT systems and VAT regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills for rapid interpretation of complex information.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience in capital accounting from both a management and statutory perspective.
