Job summary

ASOS, the online fashion retailer, seeks a qualified Financial Accountant to join the Core Costs & Capex team within Financial Accounting. You will own Capex reporting, manage the Fixed Asset Register, and ensure IFRS-compliant accounting for assets across the business.

You will deliver accurate month-end close, support audits, and drive improvements to processes and controls while partnering with stakeholders and the Finance Tech group.

Qualifications

• Qualified accounting professional with IFRS knowledge and a track record in fixed assets and capex accounting.
• Experience in preparing for internal and external audits and delivering accurate month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Capex reporting and Fixed Asset Register, translating details into senior management insights.
• Ensure IFRS compliant accounting for all Capex activities and advise the business on treatments.
• Support interim and year-end audit requirements with accurate information.
• Drive improvements to the Fixed Asset Register, accounting policies, and processes.
• Prepare robust balance sheet reconciliations for Capex areas at month end.
• Maintain documentation of financial controls, processes and risks relating to Capex.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects and broader financial accounting responsibilities.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and optimise month-end processes.
• Support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives across the team.
