Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full Time, permanent

Hours: Weekdays only, 7am-5pm or 6am-4pm, no weekends

CAP Qualified Powered Access Technician - The Role

As a CAP Qualified Powered Access Technician at Mainline Group, you will be a key member of our service team, responsible for keeping our customers' powered access equipment operating safely and efficiently. You will work both on-site at customer locations and in our workshop, handling a variety of equipment and technical challenges.

Your role is essential in maintaining the high standards of safety, reliability, and service that Mainline is known for. You will combine hands‑on technical work with problem-solving, mentoring apprentices, and supporting the wider team to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

CAP Qualified Powered Access Technician - Key Responsibilities
  • Attending breakdowns on customer sites
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on powered access equipment
  • Performing LOLER inspections and pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs)
  • Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical problems
  • Overseeing the work of apprentices
  • Complying with all safety regulations
CAP Qualified Powered Access Technician - You
  • Relevant experience or qualifications within the powered access industry eg. CAP, NVQ or manufacturer courses
  • A sound mechanical knowledge in a powered access background
  • Competence in electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience in fault finding / diagnostics
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
