Job description
Project Manager – Cancer Theme

Applications are invited for a Project Manager to work with the Cancer Theme across their research portfolio. A major focus of the Cancer Theme at NDPCHS is building interdisciplinary teams to deliver projects to improve cancer control in primary care with impact and direct patient benefit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing project documentation
  • Managing project budgets
  • Supporting grant applications
  • Contributing to the group’s communication and engagement strategies

The successful applicant will also be directly responsible for the daily operation of at least one project, including all associated administration, and will work closely with the senior project manager, deputising for them when necessary to support the wider portfolio.

Requirements: You will be educated to degree level with experience of managing research projects. You will have excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to prioritise and work as part of a growing, multi‑disciplinary team.

You will be based in Radcliffe Primary Care, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG, but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.

The position is offered full time, but can be offered part‑time at a minimum of 0.8 FTE. It is funded for 12 months in the first instance.

Pay Scale: STANDARD GRADE 7 – £39,424 – £47,779 per annum with a discretionary range to £51,983 per annum (pro‑rata)
