Job description

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Cancer Pathway Coordinator to track patients through the cancer pathway and ensure they meet the National Cancer Waiting Times targets, especially the 28‑day faster diagnosis standard. The post‑holder will also provide occasional cover for multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, use video‑conferencing equipment, and work closely with Cancer Pathway Coordinators.

Responsibilities
  • Track patients through their cancer pathway and ensure compliance with National Cancer Waiting Times targets.
  • Provide cover for MDT meetings and use video‑conferencing equipment as required.
  • Extract clinical and administrative data from Trust IT systems for cancer registration in accordance with the National Cancer Registration Service (NCRS) standards.
  • Work accurately and with concentration, liaising with staff at all levels and supporting the Cancer Pathway Coordinator team.
