Job summary

Jewish Care's Sugar & Ronson Campus in Redbridge seeks a practical Property Services Porter to keep rooms set up, deliveries moving and day‑to‑day operations smooth for residents, visitors and staff. You'll be on site 36.25 hours weekly, Monday to Friday with some Sundays when required, performing porterage, room setup, stock transfers and general logistics while following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a porterage, operational, facilities or support role is desirable.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload.
• A helpful, professional and customer‑focused approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• An understanding of safe manual handling and health and safety.
• The ability to safely carry out physical duties, including lifting and moving items.
• Basic IT skills.
• The confidence to work independently and use your initiative.
• Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and clearing rooms for meetings, events, activities and training.
• Moving furniture, equipment, supplies and resources safely around the campus.
• Receiving deliveries, checking goods and reporting discrepancies.
• Distributing care consumables and non‑clinical supplies to departments and storage areas.
• Supporting weekly Meals on Wheels deliveries, including stock transfers.
• Receiving food and beverage deliveries and moving supplies to kitchens and storage areas.
• Providing general porterage and logistical support across the campus.
• Keeping storage and delivery areas organised and accessible.
• Reporting hazards, incidents and delivery issues promptly.
• Following health and safety procedures.
