Job summary

EQUANS is seeking an M&E Supervisor to join our team at University of West London campuses, on a full-time permanent basis. Hours are 08:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, with a 24-hour on-call rota.

The role involves supervising mechanical and electrical maintenance, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliant, safe delivery of services on campus. The ideal candidate has hard FM supervision experience, strong stakeholder communication, and a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising mechanical and electrical maintenance teams in Hard FM.
• Knowledge of building services, maintenance practices, statutory compliance and health and safety.
• Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour, with CAFM systems.
• Organised, customer focused with strong communication with clients and management.
• Strong problem solver with planning and stakeholder management.
• Holder of a full UK driving licence.
• Desirable: HNC/HND in engineering or similar.
• Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the delivery of mechanical, electrical, fabric and grounds maintenance services.
• Ensure PPM, reactive maintenance, compliance activities and small works are completed safely and effectively.
• Monitor service quality, CAFM records, KPIs, contractor performance and statutory compliance.
• Lead emergency responses and provide effective support to clients, university representatives and stakeholders.
