Job summary

The University Sustainability Team is seeking a Community Garden Coordinator to manage the garden, recruit volunteers, and implement sustainability practices. This role involves planning for the growing season, organizing market farm stands, and documenting the garden's progress. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership and communication skills and are passionate about sustainability. Work will be part-time in Spring and Fall, with more hours in Summer, based in Grantham.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Office of Sustainability and Grantham Community Garden is a plus.
  • Ability to influence and lead peers.
  • Passionate about sustainability solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare for growing season including seed orders and planting schedule.
  • Recruit, manage and track volunteers.
  • Complete necessary farm tasks like planting and maintenance.
  • Organize market farm stands and track income and expenses.
  • Coordinate care for campus chickens and apiary.
  • Document work through photos and social media.
