Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed is hiring for a DISHWASHER role at Lincoln Memorial University. This full-time position requires maintaining cleanliness of dishes, pots, pans, and prep areas, and supporting kitchen operations to ensure sanitary conditions.

Typical duties include washing by hand or using machines, polishing silver, and maintaining safe, organized workspaces. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not required; nights and varied schedules may apply.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move items as needed.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or with a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays and ensures cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silverware and maintains clean work areas in accordance with safety standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and adheres to safety and sanitation procedures.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas and assists with loading/unloading.
