Job summary

University of Leeds is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Team Leader to join our Cleaning Services team on campus. You will work Saturdays, supporting the Operations Team Leader and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-presented environment for staff, students and visitors.

The role requires a hands-on approach, excellent communication, and a positive, can-do attitude. Tasks include bin disposal, vacuuming, mopping, floor cleaning, damp dusting and sanitary areas, with weekend schedules and

Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning duties: emptying bins, removing waste, vacuuming, mopping, machine floor cleaning and damp dusting fixtures and fittings.
• Clean sanitary areas and maintain high standards of presentation.
• Support Operations Team Leader to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming campus experience for staff, students and visitors.
