Job summary

Reaseheath College and University Centre in Nantwich, Cheshire, invites applications for a permanent Caretaker role (37 hours/week). The successful candidate will help keep campus buildings clean, functional and well-presented, support events and maintain safety across the site.

A Full UK driving licence and a proactive, flexible approach are essential. The role involves furniture movement, room setup and collaboration with domestic and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Be able to work on own initiative in all weather conditions.
• Maintain safety standards and follow procedures.
• Desire to undertake training in maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move, install, remove and assemble furniture and equipment for events and relocations.
• Set up function rooms, lay carpets, arrange chairs and staging.
• Unload and store materials and deliveries.
• Collect litter, manage bins, and assist with waste disposal.
• Assist domestic and maintenance teams with tasks and moving materials.
• Carry out minor maintenance such as changing light fittings and basic repairs.
• Support external maintenance like gutter cleaning and jet washing.
