Job summary

Jump is seeking a Campus AI Researcher (PhD/Postdoc) for a full-time role in London. The position targets candidates who can take open-ended ML research from research to production, including model design, tooling, and infrastructure development.

Campus AI Researcher, PhD/Postdoc (Full-Time)

Full-time AI research role for PhD/postdoc candidates working on open-ended ML research, model design, tooling, and infrastructure from concept to production.

For PhD and postdoctoral researchers working on open-ended machine-learning problems from research through production.

What Jump looks for

• Strong publications at venues such as ICML, ICLR, AAAI, NeurIPS, UAI, or KDD, and/or meaningful open-source AI research contributions.
• Strong machine-learning background, including modern deep learning and/or language-model architectures such as transformers and state-space models.
• Strong Python and/or C++.
• PyTorch, TensorFlow, and/or JAX.
• Strong quantitative reasoning, collaboration, and communication with trading researchers.
• Intellectual curiosity, originality, practical judgement, and reliable availability.

Useful experience: high-performance computing, distributed large-model training, CUDA or ROCm optimisation, end-to-end model development, and ML research/tooling/infrastructure best practices.
