Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Clinical Team Leader for Lavender Walk, an inpatient unit for young people aged 13 to 18 within Central and North West London’s CAMHS services. The post supports the ward manager, chairs nursing champion roles, and provides primary nursing while supervising junior staff and students.

Qualifications

• Registered mental health nurse with degree or diploma level education.
• Current NMC registration as a mental health or child nurse.
• Experience in teaching, supervision and coordinating patient care on a ward.

Responsibilities

• Support the ward manager in day-to-day ward leadership.
• Lead nursing champion roles and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide primary nursing for individual young people.
• Supervise junior staff and students to ensure safe care.
• Lead on nursing feedback in ward rounds and professional meetings.
• Ensure a welcoming, safe environment for young people and families.
