A major healthcare provider in Nottingham is seeking a CAMHS Crisis Mental Health Practitioner to support young people and families through mental health crises. You will assess situations, provide targeted interventions, and manage risks within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must have a relevant nursing or social work qualification. This position offers a collaborative environment with strong support for professional development.
Crisis and Home Treatment has an emphasis on being able to support in the most complex times of a young persons life, and help them to stabilise their mental health. Working in collaboration with the CAMHS Liaison Team which focusses upon ensuring that anyone under 18 attending one of our acute hospital's Emergency Departments has timely access to a sound, high quality assessment for their mental health. Both services support young people and their families therapeutically to help them navigate through the period of crisis., As a CAMHS Crisis Mental Health Practitioner, you will:
We are seeking and developing a highly skilled, experienced, compassionate, flexible and motivated workforce. To support this, we set high standards for the care and support we offer; this is supported by a robust induction period, a team-based approach to managing risk, on site and visible senior leadership support and specialist training opportunities. Full training will be provided.
You must be a Registered Nurse, Dip SW or equivalent social work qualification (CSS, CQSW, DipSW, degree in social work), Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC and accredited by a HCPC recognised body e.g. BABCP.
Please note that this post may not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker Visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
