A prominent healthcare provider in Nottingham is seeking a CAMHS Crisis Mental Health Practitioner. You will support young people experiencing mental health crises and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates will have relevant nursing or social work qualifications and be committed to providing compassionate care. The role offers full-time and part-time options, with a salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 annually.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CAMHS Crisis and Intensive Home Treatment Team. Crisis and Home Treatment has an emphasis on being able to support in the most complex times of a young person’s life, and help them to stabilise their mental health. Working in collaboration with the CAMHS Liaison Team which focusses upon ensuring that anyone under 18 attending one of our acute hospital's Emergency Departments has timely access to a sound, high quality assessment for their mental health. Both services support young people and their families therapeutically to help them navigate through the period of crisis.
You must be a Registered Nurse, Dip SW or equivalent social work qualification (CSS, CQSW, DipSW, degree in social work), Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC and accredited by a HCPC recognised body e.g. BABCP.
Please note that this post may not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

The CAMHS Urgent Care Teams, incorporating Crisis, Home Treatment and Liaison pathways, are welcoming, friendly and dedicated to ensuring that young people in a mental health crisis get access to the right support in the right place at the right time. The teams are busy, supportive and encouraging of new and creative ways to innovate and improve the service we deliver.
We are an 8 am to 8 pm service operating a self-rostering system for our staff.
The aim is to support Children and Young People in the community to avoid admissions to inpatient services and acute hospitals.
Our team works Long Days of 8am 8pm for the CAMHS Crisis and Intensive Home Treatment Team (this team) and Nights of 8pm 8am for the CAMHS Crisis Liaison Team. Rotas are prepared well in advance and we aim to promote staff wellbeing and work/life balance.
Enhancements are paid for weekend and evening/night working.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is preferred for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
