Job summary

A leading mental health services provider in Salisbury is seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to deliver and develop Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Responsibilities include providing clinical leadership, ensuring high-quality care, and working within a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and be committed to enhancing young people's mental health. Qualifications

• Eligibility for Section 12 (Mental Health Act 1983) Approval and Approved Clinician status.
• Eligible for GMC Specialist Registration in a psychiatric speciality.
• Minimum of three years in approved training post for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and medical input to the team.
• Take responsibility for patients seen directly.
• Contribute to clinical governance as a clinical lead.

Skills

Excellent knowledge in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Experience of effective multidisciplinary team working

High training placement in Adolescent Psychiatry

Ability to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework

Excellent skills in communication

Education

Higher degree/diploma in relevant field of medical or psychological studies

Membership or Fellowship of The Royal College of Psychiatrists
