Job summary

CNWL NHS Foundation Trust in Brent is seeking a Band 7 Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist to join Brent CAMHS. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist assessments and psychotherapeutic interventions for children and young people.

The post offers regular clinical supervision, opportunities for CPD and involvement in Quality Improvement projects, with a supportive team across mental health and neurodevelopmental services.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAMHS settings with young people who have complex needs.
• Ability to conduct specialist psychotherapeutic assessments and interventions.
• Ability to work autonomously within professional guidelines and service policies.
• Commitment to reflective practice and regular clinical supervision.
• Contribute to CPD opportunities and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychotherapeutic assessments of children and young people referred to the team.
• Formulate and implement plans for treatment based on psychoanalytic approaches; long and short-term interventions.
• Deliver psychotherapeutic interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups.
• Evaluate treatment options considering theoretical and developmental factors.
• Manage risk assessment and discharge planning within CAMHS care.
