Job summary

Clarence House Nurseries in Cambridge is hiring an Apprentice to join our team. You will work 40 hours a week alongside qualified staff, gaining practical childcare experience while pursuing a Level 3 Diploma for an Early Years Practitioner.

The rate of pay is £9 per hour, and you will be supported by a Nursery Manager and a mentor. The apprenticeship with Central YMCA takes up to 24 months to complete.

Qualifications

• Apprentice role requiring Level 3 qualification in childcare.
• 40 hours per week across all nursery areas.
• DBS check funded and supervision provided.

Responsibilities

• Support children in play and learning activities.
• Assist with daily routines such as meals and naps.
• Create displays of children’s work to brighten the environment.
• Observe and record children’s development.
• Plan activities to meet each child's individual needs.
