Job description

The Calibration Technician will be responsible for the calibration, inspection adjustment and repair of test equipment including commercial off the shelf equipment and bespoke GE designed equipment and systems. Therefore, it encompasses all engineering disciplines with exposure to various electronic, mechanical, barometric and optical test equipment. The role requires handling of multiple tasks and the ability to respond to changing priorities. Training will be provided.

Qualifications
  • Ability to follow calibration and test procedures and test notes
  • Qualification in Electrical/Electronics (minimum ONC or equivalent) or demonstrable experience
  • Experience/knowledge of electrical, electronic, optical and mechanical hardware calibration or testing
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Planning, recording and task management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Competent with using business systems for data management and record keeping
  • Analytical, with a keen attention to detail
  • A good team player who is capable of operating in a multi discipline environment
  • Energetic and self-motivated, with an ability to self-manage tasks and priorities
  • Previous experience and awareness of ISO17025 advantageous
