Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in calibration.
  • Understanding of ISO17025:2017 and AMS2750F requirements.
  • Ability to manage and organize data using various applications.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate internal reference equipment and customer instruments.
  • Communicate with customers and engineers for service details.
  • Produce Calibration Certificates of Conformity.

Skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills
Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP systems)
Good understanding of quality specification requirements
General understanding of continuous improvements and lean principles

Education

Job description

In this role, you'll take ownership of on‑site calibrations across flow, pressure, temperature, and electrical systems – ensuring equipment accuracy, reliability, and compliance with UKAS and NADCAP standards. Every day is different, from commissioning and repairing instrumentation to supporting customers with your technical know‑how.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety and quality.
  • Communicate with customers, Service & Engineers via telephone/email/direct contact.
  • Liaise with Sales to organise quotations for contracts, new equipment, replacement equipment, etc.
  • Type and word‑process various documents and electronic information.
  • Have a good understanding of ISO17025:2017 (UKAS) and the aerospace specification AMS2750F.
  • Manage, organise, and update certificate data using database applications (IndySoft, SalesForce and Epicor).
  • Calibrate internal reference equipment and customers' instruments to UKAS and/or traceable standards.
  • Ensure that all reference standards are fit for purpose and are within calibration at the time of use.
  • Produce Coil Calibration Certificates of Conformity for Production Department.
  • Ensure that turnaround times are met within the Calibration Services Department.
  • Highlight any problems in the on‑site calibration department to Laboratory Manager/Supervisor.
  • Always maintain a high level of housekeeping (5S) in the department.
  • Provide technical assistance to Sales & Administration departments.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities.
  • Minimum of three main areas within the Parameters Temperature / Electrical / Flow or Pressure.
  • Understand safety aspects of processes and materials in the area of responsibility.
Qualifications

Desirable Skills and Experience
  • 2 years experience in calibration.
  • Knowledge of IndySoft, SalesForce and Epicor (or similar ERP system).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • GCSE or equivalent, including Maths, English and one Science or relevant experience.
