Job summary

Evolito is seeking a Maintenance and Calibration Engineer to ensure all production equipment and assets are maintained according to Manufacturing Schedules. You will develop a calibration strategy, manage spares, support safety audits, and work with the Production and Manufacturing Engineering teams to optimise ongoing operations in a fast‑growing aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Experience in a highly technical manufacturing environment with understanding of tooling, tolerancing and process controls.
  • Ability to plan for future opportunities/volumes while managing day-to-day activities.
  • Experience/knowledge in lean manufacturing principles (VSM) and variance analysis (Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their limitations.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance requirements and scheduling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Instinctive problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.
  • Flexible approach to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical processes to diverse audiences.
  • UK driving licence and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a calibration and maintenance strategy for all production equipment and tooling.
  • Take ownership of the critical spares process and implement improvements.
  • Engage in safety topics such as risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering to analyse impacts of changes to equipment.
  • Support Production to forecast cost of production with monthly dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Production to understand manufacturing pain points from the source.
  • Evaluate current and future industrial solutions and make recommendations.
  • Support facility and capital discussions from a technical production perspective.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of manufacturing efficiency.
  • Assist process optimisation with focus on critical path.
  • Adhere to the Business Management System requirements.
