Location: Telford Service Centre

💰 Rate: £20-22 per hour (via umbrella)

📄 Contract: Full-time, 12-month contract (strong likelihood of extension)

🕐 Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Are you looking to take the next step in your calibration career? This is an excellent opportunity to join a global technology leader, working hands‑on with a wide variety of mechanical, dimensional and torque measurement instruments in a modern, well‑equipped service centre. As a Calibration Engineer, you’ll work alongside experienced colleagues, developing deeper expertise in calibration, validation, and repair.

🔍 Key Responsibilities
  • Performing calibration, validation, and repair of mechanical and dimensional test instruments, including torque tools and related systems
  • Following prescribed procedures to complete routine tasks, while applying judgement to more complex technical issues
  • Diagnosing and resolving a broad range of calibration and technical problems
  • Understanding customer requirements through clear written and face‑to‑face communication
  • Supporting service delivery at the Telford Service Centre, with occasional customer site visits for on‑site calibrations

  • Experience in mechanical calibration, maintenance, or repair, ideally gained in a laboratory or manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency with calibration tools, software, and measurement principles
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
  • A collaborative, team‑focused mindset and effective communication skills
  • Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance
