Job summary

WLD Recruitment is seeking a UKAS Calibration Engineer in East Birmingham to calibrate a range of test and measurement equipment in accordance with UKAS, ISO 17025 and internal quality procedures.

You will produce calibration certificates, maintain records, support audits and liaise with customers. The role offers a salary of £35,000–£45,000 per year, private medical insurance, a company pension scheme, ongoing training and development, and clear opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• UKAS-accredited calibration experience.
• Experience calibrating test and measurement equipment.
• Strong understanding of UKAS and ISO 17025 requirements.
• Experience producing calibration certificates and maintaining technical records.

• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Calibrating test and measurement equipment within your specialist discipline.
• Completing calibration work within the laboratory and at customer sites.

• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with UKAS and ISO 17025 standards.
• Identifying equipment that is outside of specification.
• Carrying out basic fault finding, adjustments and repairs where appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate records within the calibration management system.
• Supporting internal audits and continuous improvement activities.
• Liaising professionally with customers and providing technical support.
• Ensuring calibration equipment and reference standards are correctly maintained.

The Role

• Strong attention to detail


• The ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Good communication and customer service skills


• A full UK driving licence

Experience across multiple calibration disciplines would be advantageous but is not essential.
