Job summary

Tesco Cafes is looking for a Team Member to join our café, doing a bit of cooking, a bit of chatting with customers, and a lot of impact.

You’ll keep kitchen equipment clean, serve customers quickly and follow food safety rules, while helping maintain a tidy dining area and stock as needed.

We offer flexible hours with a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours per week and the chance to progress within a welcoming, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• A commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• The ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our café’s delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our café’s menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it’s intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Café Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our café stays clean.
