Job summary

Tesco Café is hiring a Team Leader to join a friendly, fast-paced environment. You’ll coach, develop, and train team members, while delivering excellent customer service and helping keep daily operations running smoothly.

You’ll support the Café Manager, work toward business goals, and lead by example with a proactive can-do attitude in an inclusive workplace with strong development opportunities.

You will be responsible for

Although specific responsibilities will depend on the changing needs of Tesco as a business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:

• Making sure everything runs smoothly by maintaining operational and safety standards.
• Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are met and followed.
• Leading by example by providing an excellent experience for customers.
• Opening and closing the café and overseeing full operations in the Manager’s absence.
• Recognising and celebrating team members for providing excellent service.
• Learning our menu inside out and helping our team to do the same.
• Boosting sales by making sure everyone’s in the right place at the right time.
• Delivering Health & Safety and Food Safety training for team members.
• Supporting the Café Manager with colleague coaching and development.
• Seeking ways to constantly help improve our service for customers.
• Promoting an inclusive environment where colleagues feel respected, valued, and safe.

You will need
