Job summary

Compass Group UK&I in the United Kingdom is recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor on a full‑time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week, to help ensure smooth café operations in a major High Street brand. Here's an idea of what your shift patterns will be: 4 out of 7 days.

You will supervise frontline teams, manage rotas, handle stock, maintain food hygiene standards, and deliver excellent customer service while staying calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service.
• Team player with a can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported.
• Being a responsible key holder.
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary.
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines.
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels.
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
