Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a part-time Cafe Supervisor in Swansea to help run the operations for a major High Street brand. The role is 20 hours per week, with shifts that vary, and offers career progression within a company that invests in its people.

You will supervise a frontline team, handle deliveries, and support rota planning while ensuring Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards are met, all while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in a cafe/food service setting.
• Excellent customer service and guest-relations skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a frontline team and create a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Check deliveries and store them promptly and correctly.
• Be a responsible key holder and support weekly bookwork.
• Produce weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines.
• Place orders to maintain stock levels and delegate tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a part time basis, contracted to 20 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities May Include

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our Ideal Cafe Supervisor Will

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
