Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of Healthcare operations on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). You will lead a frontline team, manage rotas, and ensure food handling and health & safety standards are met across NHS Trusts and private hospitals.

The role emphasises delivering excellent customer service, creating a positive team environment, and supporting the manager in daily bookwork and stock control.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
• Strong customer service focus and communication skills.
• Team player with a can-do attitude and resilience under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder and assist with weekly bookwork.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager guidelines.
• Place orders to maintain stock levels and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling and Hygiene standards.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Cafe Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
