Job summary

The Jigsaw Trust operates Café in the Park, a social enterprise delivering catering to park visitors, tenants and learners. The Café Cook prepares breakfasts, lunches, cakes and snacks to order with a focus on quality food and great customer experience.

You’ll contribute to menu ideas, supervise when needed and ensure kitchen hygiene and safety, while supporting learners and staff in a busy, friendly setting.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking and baking experience in cafe/restaurant settings.
• Desirable Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications and allergen understanding.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of high quality, appetising breakfasts, lunches and snacks.
• Gather customer feedback and respond to ensure a great experience.
• Contribute to menu ideas to drive variety and café revenue.
• Assist with learner activities and supervise cafe operations when needed.
• Keep the kitchen clean and compliant with health and safety regulations.
