Responsibilities
- Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure we meet required standards.
- Regularly reviewing stock levels and following all policies and procedures.
- Working with the Café Manager to identify and support team members looking to develop as Baristas.
- Keeping up to date with all communications from Tesco, as well as any new offers, initiatives and menu changes.
- Resolving any customer complaints where possible.
- Clearing tables and helping in the kitchen.
- Familiarising yourself with all menu offerings and any new initiatives, and serving customers quickly and efficiently, taking into account any particular requirements.
- Taking ownership of team barista development and working closely with the Café Manager to support those looking to develop their skills.
Qualifications
- Experience of working as a Barista, or in a hospitality environment.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Confidence to coach and train others inclusively.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Confidence using initiative to identify opportunities to improve our ways of working or adapt to different situations.
- Excellent communication skills to support colleagues and the Café Manager.
- Confidence as a Barista (or someone who has worked in hospitality) to bring your skill to the team and share knowledge and expertise with those around you.
