Job summary

Tesco Café in the Perth area is looking for team members to join our Back of House and Café team. You’ll help prepare food, keep our kitchens clean, and ensure the quality customers expect from Tesco cafés.

You’ll work as part of a friendly team, providing great service and maintaining high standards across shifts. We offer flexible working options and a supportive environment where you can grow your career.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Rotate stock using FIFO to keep food fresh.
• Assist with deliveries and safe storage of food.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to Tesco cafés.
• Maintain café standards and ensure products are available.
• Know the café menu inside and out and serve food as designed.
• Resolve customer complaints and inform the Café Manager.
• Stay up to date with business communications and new initiatives.

You will be responsible for

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of Tesco as a business, the following provides an overview of the role's key responsibilities and measures:

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafés
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our café's menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it's intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Café Manager.
• Staying up to date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
